Play & Creative Arts Therapy
Play & Creative Arts Therapy offers children a safe and supportive space to express themselves using play, art, storytelling, movement, and more. When words are hard to find, creative tools allow children to explore their feelings, make sense of their experiences, and develop healthy ways of coping. Each session is tailored to the child's individual needs, helping them build confidence, resilience, and emotional wellbeing at their own pace, in their own way.
ASGSF Funding
Play & Fly is proud to be registered with the Approved Providers List for the Adoption Support Fund (ASGSF). This means we're recognised as a trusted provider of therapeutic support for adoptive families and special guardians. If you're eligible for funding, we can work with you and your local authority to access support tailored to your child's needs.
Therapeutic Parenting
A Gentle, Healing Approach to Difficult Behaviours
Therapeutic parenting is a highly nurturing and structured approach specifically designed for children who have experienced trauma, neglect, or early attachment disruptions. Rooted in attachment theory and trauma-informed care, it emphasises empathy, consistency, and emotional attunement. Unlike traditional parenting, therapeutic parenting focuses less on discipline and more on connection—helping children feel safe and regulated. This approach has been especially effective for adoptive and foster parents, as well as caregivers working with children who have complex emotional needs.
Referrals
We welcome referrals from schools, private parents and carers, and children's services. Whether you're a concerned parent, a teacher looking to support a pupil, or a professional seeking therapeutic input for a child, we're here to help. Our referral process is simple and collaborative, ensuring each child receives the right support at the right time.
Confidentiality
As a Play Therapist we respect the privacy of the children attending sessions and the privacy of their parents or carers. Information that you share is treated as confidential. Your play therapist will remain in contact with you to discuss any changes you witness at home throughout your child's episode. However, specific details of sessions will not be disclosed, to maintain the trust of your child.
